June w/ Adornleaf Tea Co.
Ahhh, the pre-summer heat is upon us! I am excited to have a busy event schedule that allows me to make the most of the vibrant, joyous energy of the summertime. I also love opportunities to connect with more of you, and to spread the love for herbal tea and all its magic.
On June 8th, Adornleaf Tea Co. will be a featured vendor at the 3rd annual IWE Festival at Southern University!
The festival will take place on the bluff on Saturday from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. The festival is a dynamic cultural celebration that highlights literacy through art. The event will be a combination of a day party, vendor’s corner, live music, and special interactive activities for children! I am excited to make two Adornleaf Tea Co. iced teas available, as well as a limited collection of pre-bagged and small loose teas. Jaguar Boost and Mint, Meet Mint taste great iced, and will make for awesome additions to all of the day’s festivities! As a self-published author, voracious reader, and lover of day festivals with good music, I am beyond elated to be a vendor at such a successful and beneficial event.
Make plans to stop by the table and tent for Adornleaf Tea Co. at the Iwe Festival!
Also, to continue to community/gathering/sharing space vibe, I’d like to take a moment to announce Tea Talk: An Interactive Herb-Blending Workshop which will take place on June 15th!
Two weekend events in a row is proving to be a bit of a whirlwind, but with the blessing of a supportive mother and generous community, I am grateful to be able to pull this workshop off to share the magical skill of blending herbal tea at home. Herb-blending is useful for teas, infused oils, salves, tinctures, yoni steams, aromatherapy, spell-work, cooking, and much, much more. Summer is such an inviting time to build skills. I plan to share two basic herb-blending methods, the science involved in blending tea, choosing herbs for healing qualities, and demonstrate making the perfect herb blend by taste. I am glad that Adornleaf Tea Co. can help to meet this need of all of those who have been curious about making their own teas based on personal tastes. and Southern Grind Cofe is a fantastic contemporary cultural hub and the most perfect venue. I expect it will be a fun and enlightening afternoon.
All are welcome to attend this free workshop, but only the first 12 RSVP’s attendees will have their very own herb-blending station and receive a small take-home bag of their blended herbs. All attendees will receive a digital herb-blending guide at the conclusion of the workshop. Special Adornleaf Tea Co. products will be available for sale. Cash, credit, and debit will be accepted.
