Use and Infuse (Your Herbs)
Hey Tea Lovers,
Rachel here and I’m here to check in on your knowledge of herbal infusions. Did you know that every time you brew a tea, you’re making an herbal infusion? Even though your daily teas are full of benefits for your wellness and routines, they are pretty weak infusions since steep time is usually relatively low.
“Long infusions” and decoctions involve much longer steep times and have many different uses - medicinal remedies, DIY natural pest repellants, cosmetics, and topical treatments are just a few of the options available. You can also infuse more than just water - honey, oils, and vinegar all make useful mediums through which you can bring out the best of any herbal ingredient ;)
Dive into the world of herbal infusions by reading more from The Spruce Eats below and learn all about how to make the most of your herbal goodies.
Don’t forget to stock up on all your loose single herbs as well! Organic sustainably sourced herbs make a wonderful addition to any pantry or collection. I am happy to be able to support home herbal enthusiasts in their work to build up healthy, useful collections :) You can check out ATC’s herb selection in our Herbal Extras here.
Summer is still rolling and we’ll be back to seeing you all at in-person events soon! In the meantime, keep your finger on the pulse by following us on Insta…..and Tik Tok!
See you soon, tea lovers. Stay cool (literally!)
Love ya,
Rachel
