Introducing Organic Echinacea Leaf to ATC's Herbal Extras Collection

Hi tea lovers!

I’m here to announce the addition of a superstar well-known herb to our Herbal Extras collection. Echinacea purpurea, more commonly known as Echinacea to most people, is an herbal ingredient that has been commonly used for centuries. Echinacea’s distinctive purple flowers, leaves, and roots are all used in herbal tinctures, teas, and decoctions, and we are so excited to be able to offer it for your home needs and herbal wellness routines on ATC’s site.

Everything About Echinacea

Echinacea contains many active compounds and antioxidants - such as alkamines, rosmarinic acid, and polysaccharides - that have been linked to improved immune function, anti-inflammatory actions, and reducing respiratory symptoms.

Compounds in echinacea leaves may help ease symptoms of anxiety. In addition, echinacea has been shown to have positive effects for skin dryness and other concerns when used in topical applications. This is certainly an asset as we are approaching spring and allergy season takes over!

This high-quality echinacea has a somewhat earthy taste with a distinct grassy smell and undertone. It tastes great unsweetened or with a bit of honey added, depending on your preference. I am looking forward to working out new handmade herbal tea blends using this wonderful ingredient!

A word of caution - people with allergies to plant members of the Astracae family like dandelions, marigolds, chamomile, sunflowers, and others may find echinacea to cause irritation. Consult a trusted licensed healthcare professional before use, especially if you are pregnant, take daily medications, and/or live with chronic illness.
