A Message of Greetings and Gratitude from Rachel, Adornleaf Tea Co.’s Owner and Creative Director

Hello everyone! Just a few months ago, it would be automatic for me to as “How are you doing?”, but I’d imagine that question has been as loaded for you all as it has been for me. In this age where there are converging crises and a daily drip of bad news , the proper questions should probably add “…all things considered?” I’m writing to you now in the hopes that you are doing fine, all things considered, and to report that I am doing well too, all things considered.

All throughout ATC’s hiatus, I was recharging, restocking, and considering ways that ATC can improve every aspect of its service. I am happy to report that I still felt very much supported by you all and your kind words. Now that we’re back in business, feel free to drop me a line on Facebook or Instagram with your thoughts and questions.

Anyways, I’m sure you could guess that, as a small business owner, I support the funding and prolonged operation of the United States Postal Service. I take pride in supporting a federal agency that has remained popular throughout the years as a mainstay of rural life and a major cog in our society. The USPS is an institution that has provided thousands of families, including those of many Black Americans throughout the country’s history, a path toward equity and sustainable, gainful employment. And USPS is not just vital for individuals—it’s an element of success for the Departments of Veteran Affairs, Internal Revenue Service, the Social Security Administration and SO. MANY. MORE.

All customers receive automatic USPS Priority postage on their products because I know it to be an reliable and affordable service which, for a small business, is of the utmost importance. So, support the USPS. Stay informed. Buy some stamps. And in the meantime, check back here or check ATC’s socials for more thoughts from me, close up shots of my process, and updates. Stay safe, brew some tea, and complete all of your storm prep if you’re in the Gulf Coast!

Until next time,

Rachel
